VDWS WINDSURF BASIC LICENSE

This License is an internationally known proof that makes the hiring of equipment much easier. In many clubs in Germany, Greece and other countries, having this license is mandatory in order to let you hire equipment.

In order to get the Windsurf Basic License, previous experience is required, at least the Level 1 Course. The License includes practical and theoretical exams. Before the exams, the student will get a theoretical booklet that will be analysed with the instructor. After the exams, if passed, the student will receive his Basic License & a Diploma.

Practical exams:
Rigging and derigging, basic position, setting up the board, starting, steering, sailing in different courses, tack, heading upwind. 

Theoretical exams:
Material knowledge, common knowledge of the law, sailing theory, safety, nature and environment. In the theoretical exam, a questionnaire has to be filled out.
