  • Before entering the water, customers should sign in on the Safety Board, by writing their names and the equipment they use and sign out at the end of their session so that the Staff knows how many people are in the water.
  • Entering the swimmer’s area is not allowed at any time unless it is an emergency. In case of an emergency, you should use the self-rescue technique. Lay down on the board and use your arms to paddle out to the shore. Do not try to paddle towards the corridor when it's windy– going against the wind will be very difficult.

  • Customers who windsurf in conditions that are above their Level are responsible for repairing any damage that occurs and at their own cost.
  • Catamarans are not permitted to go out at all in winds over 20 knots.
  • Stand-up paddlers who wish to paddle in open water should take with them a flotation device and should notify one of our team members.
TAKING OUT GEAR
  • The availability of equipment (Windsurfing, SUP & Catamaran) is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Before the start of any activity (windsurfing, Stand Up Paddle or Catamaran), the customer has the opportunity to inspect the equipment to ensure that it is in proper working condition. By signing in on the Safety Board, the customer is accepting the responsibility that the equipment is in good order. Any damage must be reported to the Windsurf City Cyprus team before the signing on the board.
  • Every paddler is responsible for carrying the SUP board to the sea and bringing it back to the board house after washing it in the sea. You should not step on the board when it is on the beach and you should not drag it - always carry it from the carrying handle.
  • For any damage to windsurfing equipment, the customer must pay a deductible of 20€
  • The customer is in charge of rigging the equipment and carrying it to the shore.
  • Never leave a rig unattached on the shore.
  • Carry the board and rig together or take your board down first (placing it with the nose into the wind) and then attach the sail. Leave your rig downwind of the board and always attach the rig to the mast base.

  • After the end of the usage, the customer should wash the equipment in the sea, bring it back clean, derig it and place it back to position.
  • Top Tip: Right hand closest to the mast = You’re on ‘Starboard Tack’ and have ‘Right Of Way’.
